In the Nationality section, you can analyze key metrics — Revenue, RNS (Room Nights Sold), Occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) — by guest nationality. Data is available at both the monthly and annual level, shown in either gross or net income, and can be viewed in two modes:

  • OTB (On the Books): Includes all reservations on the calendar, regardless of check-in/check-out status.

  • Actuals: Includes only checked-out reservations.

For detailed explanations of individual metrics, see the corresponding article.

Data Recording Date (top left): Defines the reference point from which data is observed. You can select today’s date or any past date.

Period Selection (right side): Choose the year or month for which you want to analyze results.

SPIT (Same Point in Time): Enables comparison with the same period in previous years.

Display Options: Results can be shown either as absolute values (nominal) or as percentages.

Nationality is determined at the reservation level, based on the nationality of the booker.

The table view displays the performance of different nationalities across five key metrics, comparing results in OTB (On the Books – all reservations regardless of check-in/check-out status) and Actuals (checked-out reservations only). It also shows the year-over-year percentage changes.

The graph compares two selected nationalities across Revenue, RNS, RevPAR, Occupancy, and ADR, displayed in either OTB or Actuals mode, on a monthly or annual basis.

Track Changes

  • Identify which country generates the most revenue and bookings.

  • Assess whether the hotel relies heavily on a single market or attracts a diverse guest base.

  • Monitor seasonal patterns of guest arrivals from different countries.

  • Detect which markets are growing and which are declining.

  • Determine which nationalities pay higher rates.

  • Spot significant variances compared to previous years.

Make Decisions

  • Decide whether to target new markets or focus on existing ones.

  • Identify where to strengthen marketing activities.

  • Determine which languages employees should know to better serve guests.

Conclusion:

Analyzing performance by nationality helps hotels allocate resources effectively and focus on the most profitable markets.
