Base price

Updated this week

The Base Price tab is where you set the prices that yield levels will be applied to. If you had existing prices on the calendar before enabling Yielding, those prices automatically become your base prices. If no prices were set on the calendar, you can enter your base prices directly within the Yielding interface.

Entering prices and availability

You can enter or update base prices directly in the Base Prices section. Select a date range by clicking and dragging on the calendar, or use the bulk edit option to apply changes across multiple dates at once.

Setting base prices by clicking and dragging over a date range:

Setting base prices via bulk edit

Click on the bulk edit icon > select a period > select a unit type or types > select a rate plan > enter the price and save the changes:

Base prices are entered only for main rate plans.

Derived price lists are calculated from the final price of the main price list after the yield level is applied.

OBP rate plan

If you are using occupancy-based pricing, a dropdown menu will appear showing each occupancy option. Base indicates the base price for the default number of guests.

Prices for additional guests are set as a percentage or fixed increase/decrease relative to the base price. The base next to the number of persons indicates that it is the base price from which the prices for other persons are derived.

Hovering over a date will display a pop-up showing the base price, prices for additional guests, and the ratio between them.

Grid and List View

Base prices and yield levels can be displayed in two ways: Grid view and List view.

Grid view

In Grid view, only the main rate plans are shown. An exclamation mark on a cell indicates that multiple base prices exist for that day. Hovering over the cell will reveal the prices for all rate plans currently selected.

List view

List view displays all rate plans - both main and derived along with all unit types, making it the ideal option when you want a comprehensive overview of all prices across all rate plans on a single screen.

List view is ideal if you want to have an overview of all prices on a single screen
