Pay By Link is a secure payment method that allows guests to pay online through a link, eliminating the need to share card details over phone or email. Guests receive a payment link via email where they can complete their transaction quickly and securely.
You can generate a Pay By Link directly from the Rentlio interface and either send it immediately to the guest via email or copy the link to share through another communication channel.
In the reservation's Payments section, click the Pay By Link button. A window will open where you can configure: link expiration date, payment amount, automatic sending settings, recipient's email address, language preference, custom message text.
How Does Pay By Link Work?
Click the Pay By Link button in the reservation's Payments section.
Configure the payment link by setting: link expiration date, payment amount, automatic sending options, recipient's email address, language preference, custom message text
The payment link is sent to the guest's email.
The guest opens the link and completes payment securely through the Saferpay portal.
In Rentlio, the reservation balance is automatically updated and an advance payment invoice is generated.
The prepayment invoice is sent to the guest's email.
Where to View Links and Payment Status
Sent payment links and their status are visible in the Pay by Link section of each reservation.
For active links, you can:
Refresh the payment status
Copy the link
Cancel the link
on reservation under logs
on Rentlio Pay lists
Pay By Link Statuses
Pending – Links that have been sent but not yet paid
Expired – Links that have passed their expiration date
Cancelled – Links manually cancelled by the user
Successful – Links where payment was completed
When a payment is successfully completed, Rentlio automatically generates prepayment invoice and sends it to the guest via email.
