The Rentlio calendar offers the possibility to edit various settings for displaying availability, units, price lists and restrictions. In this article, we'll explain how to customize these calendar settings for different views.

Why should we set up different views?

By setting separate settings for different views, we can view the calendar with data selected and set as desired, and then with one click on another view, if necessary, expand or limit the contents of the calendar with other/additional data. For example, one view shows prices, availability and restrictions (channel manager view), while the other shows only units with reservations (room plan view). We use one display that contains the most frequently needed data, and if necessary, we can easily switch to another by clicking on the name above the calendar. Check all other details related to the calendar here.

How do we set up different views?

In the upper right corner above the calendar, it is possible to select one of the existing views or add a new one and assign it a name as desired.

By selecting the desired view and clicking on the Settings icon, we can determine which data we prefer to see on the calendar in that view:

Important: Team rights for team members have an impact on the final layout of the calendar, depending on which rights are assigned to the main Rentlio account.

By opening calendar settings sidebar menu you have an option to choose regular (monthly) and zoomed (weekly) view.

Through several examples below, you can see how the calendar will look depending on the selected settings.

In the example below, we have made visible on View 1:

1. Units

2. Availability and Standard Rate

3. Restriction for minimum stay

As we edit the settings, we immediately see changes on the calendar depending on the settings we are editing. At the very bottom of the settings menu, all settings can be canceled by clicking on Reset and can be updated again as desired. Also, it is possible to delete each view by clicking on Delete.

In order to edit another view, we will select for example View 2 above the calendar and then the settings icon. In this example, we will make visible only the units with reservations by turning off the availability only.

If the Show units is turned on and Show Availability and Rates is turned off, we only see units and related reservations on the calendar.

These two settings are mutually dependent. That means that both can be turned on at the same time. But, if one of them is turned off the other one is automatically turned on in that case. Additionally, within the Show availability and prices settings, we can display or hide price lists (Standard and others) and their associated restrictions.

Creating additional price lists and price list visibility settings on the settings

In this example, we will show how to set up a calendar layout with visible standard price lists, visible added price lists and without them.
