After successfully setting up your property in Rentlio and completing all the necessary steps to activate Channel Manager (CM), follow these tips to connect your Rentlio property to Booking.
Important: Before connecting, check the set currency on your Booking extranet. It is important that all channels and Rentlio have the same currency (we suggest Euro) due to the synchronization and accuracy of the data. Also, please check room(s) status on Booking Extranet before the connection — we recommend opening the rooms for the period availability is set on Rentlio for. For more help, please check this article.
The connection process
Choose Property Settings > Channel manager and click on the plus sign (+) in the upper right corner of the Booking.com field;
2. After clicking on plus button, (+) you will enter the '' Booking connection wizard '' page where you enter the ID of your Booking property;
3. Then the screen will show instructions on how to set Rentlio as a channel manager on the Booking Extranet. The instructions show step by step how to choose Rentlio directly on the Booking Extranet (See video below). On Extranet select:
Account > Connectivity provider > In the search box, type Rentlio > select Rentlio below > check and confirm the Terms & Conditions > click Connect button.
4. Once you've done this on Extranet, return to the Rentlio screen, select the blue Continue button. The following is a mapping process, so on the next screen:
Pair Booking unit types and rate plans with Rentlio unit types and rate plans and confirm;
Confirm whether you want to import a reservation from Booking in Rentlio;
Confirm all actions and that's it 👏🏻
Please, after this is completed, check on the Booking Extranet calendar that everything is synced correctly.
You can see an example of a complete process with the necessary steps on Rentlio and Booking Extranet in the video below:
If you need to edit or change anything later, you can select the option Edit by clicking on the pencil in the upper-left corner in the connected channel;
Rate plan requirements for mapping
When pairing rate plans in the connection wizard, the Booking.com rate plan must be standalone (independent) — meaning its price is set directly, not calculated as a percentage increase or decrease relative to another rate plan on Booking.com. A linked (derived) rate plan cannot be connected to Rentlio and will not appear in the mapping list.
Booking.com does offer an option to change a linked rate plan to standalone within the Booking.com Extranet, but even after making that change the rate plan will still not be connectable. The only solution is to delete the linked rate plan on Booking.com and create a new one as standalone from scratch, then restart the connection wizard.
Property is connected but not visible on Booking.com
If your property is successfully connected but does not appear on Booking.com, the most common reason is missing or insufficient availability and pricing. Booking.com requires at least 12 months of availability to be set and visible before a listing becomes active on the channel.
To set availability for the next 12 months in Rentlio:
Open the Rentlio Calendar.
Click the Bulk Edit icon (left side).
Select a date range covering at least 12 months from today.
Choose all relevant units.
Under Units for Sale, click Reset to open availability based on free units.
Click Save Changes.
Make sure prices are also entered in Rentlio for the same period — availability without pricing will not activate the listing on Booking.com. If you do not want to accept bookings for the entire period, set availability to 0 for the specific dates you want to keep closed — this will block those dates while keeping the rest of the 12-month window open and compliant with Booking.com requirements.
